But TOWIE's Danielle Armstrong was the picture of confidence on Thursday, as she showed off her enviably sexy figure in the Essex crew's home away from home -Marbella. 

The 28-year-old reality star looked incredible in a vibrant red bikini as she took a break from filming to soak up the glorious Spanish sunshine by the pool.

The blonde beauty is currently in the luxurious Spanish hot spot to film the upcoming series of The Only Way Is Marbs with her fellow cast. 

While she has now has no qualms stripping to her beach wear for the show, Danielle recently revealed that she has suffered from huge body insecurities in the past. 

Speaking to MailOnline last month, the ITVBe favourite even admitted that her confidence was so low at one point, she was unable to leave her hotel room.

Speaking to MailOnline last month, the boutique owner explained that she was feeling insecure about filming TOWIE in Mallorca as she felt 'huge' standing alongside co-star Megan McKenna.

Only making matters worse, she then suffered a cyber attack by vile trolls who openly expressed similar comments on her Instagram photos.

She explained: 'I could see I was bigger than [Megan]' she said, adding: '[Trolls] were saying what my insecurities were but ten times worse. People saying I "looked like a bloke", would "kill themselves if they had my thighs"...

'I remember sitting in my room and I broke down crying. I couldn't come out of my room.' 

Speaking about her then-boyfriend James Lock, she revealed: 'As a bloke he didn't get it. He was like "Dan they're waiting for you"

'I knew Ferne McCann, Jess Wright and Vicky Pattison would know what I'd be thinking - that's why you need good mates that are in the industry - because no one else understands.

'James at the time just didn't understand - he constantly would say he didn't like skinny girls, he liked thighs and a bum.'

But despite her man's words of support, she admitted they had no effect on her well-being as she added: 'It doesn't matter how many times your boyfriend says you look good, its your insecurities.' 

Having suffered at the hands of such cruel trolls, Danielle has now vowed to stop letting the hateful words affect her as much.

She continued: 'After you've had your cry you get yourself back together and get over it. We'll make sure we go out looking amazing after!' 

However Danielle split from James in late August after a turbulent second try at their relationship.

The pair had rekindled their flame earlier this year when he vowed to clean up his act and be a better boyfriend.

Danielle confirmed the news on Twitter, uploading a picture quote which read: 'She loved him and he loved her but it wasn't that simple.'

She accompanied it with the caption: 'For everyone that keeps asking about me & James this quote pretty much sums us up I'm afraid & it's time to move on (sic).'
