Tanks, jet skis, explosions - and a new goatee beard: Clarkson, Hammond and May tease The Grand Tour with a VERY Hollywood-style trailer

  • The full trailer for The Grand Tour was released online today and it suggests the show is going to be thrilling
  • It features the former Top Gear hosts Jeremy Clarkson, 56, Richard Hammond, 46, and James May, 53
  • A giant tank sparks a huge explosion, May reveals that he has broken his arm while Clarkson rides a jet ski

The first full trailer for The Grand Tour was released today and the new programme which features the former Top Gear stars is set to be their most thrilling show to date.

Presenters Jeremy Clarkson, 56, Richard Hammond, 46, and James May, 53, all left the BBC show last year and started filming the upcoming series on Amazon Prime.

The pulsating trailer shares similarities with a Hollywood blockbuster and shows a tank blowing up a car, a tense helicopter chase and Clarkson speeding past on a jet ski.

And it seems the trio - who agreed to make the new show with former Top Gear producer Andy Wilman - share the same camaraderie they had on the old show.

During the pulsating clip, a giant tank can be seen firing at a car - which explodes, suggesting the series is going to be as bold and daring as ever

At the start of the 94-second clip, May got out of a car and revealed that he had broken his arm.

And it appears the constant mocking, which featured heavily in the original series, is still present in the new show.

Hammond - who was sporting a new goatee beard - quipped: 'Which arm have you broken?' - despite seeing his friend's right arm in a sling.

Clarkson, who was informed by the BBC that his contract would not be renewed last year, then burst out laughing after hearing Hammond's comment.

Meanwhile, hundreds of fans can then be seen crowding around a vehicle which Hammond was driving along a busy street.

Clarkson was also seen wearing a cream suit and joked: 'Looking good is more important than where you're going.'

And during the clip, fans of the trio are given a sneak preview of the premise of the show as it is revealed that they will visit four continents on a 'road trip, in very exotic cars'.

The programme, which will be shown weekly from November 18, will show the three car enthusiasts enjoy a 'grand tour' - which the trailer described as being 'one incredible adventure'.

At one point, Clarkson tried to move a camel before he told Hammond and May 'we've only had one minor fire' just seconds before a tank opened fire - destroying a car and sparking a huge explosion.

A dramatic helicopter chase and Clarkson driving a jet ski also features in the pulsating trailer.
