She recently made a welcome return to TV screens with her BBC2 new cooking show Simply Nigella.

And Nigella Lawson, 56, looked more than ready for her close-up when she stepped out to shoot scenes for her programme in London on Sunday.

The stunning brunette wowed as she arrived at her eatery of choice in a tight black top under a matching tux jacket, which she teamed with skinny jeans.

Mother-of-two Nigella opted to forgo accessories for her culinary excursion, letting her simple-yet-chic ensemble do all of the talking.

Showing off her alabaster tone by keeping her makeup natural and light, she wore her chestnut brown tresses in bombshell waves.

Carrying a black purse, the star appeared to be in jovial spirits as she prepared to go before rolling cameras with a crew in tow.

Despite being a pin-up for men across the globe, she recently revealed to Australia's Daily Telegraph, that liked wearing 'stretchy dresses' for her appearances on Masterchef Australia because it allowed her to 'eat a lot'.

In a column for The Guardian in 2014, Nigella - whose range of cookbooks have been lauded as enduring bestsellers - admitted she was an accidental food writer.

'I never intended to be a food writer,' she said. 'But perhaps the truth is that everything in life that matters – in the professional arena as with affairs of the heart – cannot be planned...

'I loved food, and felt strongly that cooking (rather like child-rearing, with which I was also much taken up at the time) should not be the preserve of the expert, but restored to its place in the home.

'I am not a chef, nor even a trained cook, but as I feel I must remind people all too often: if you needed a professional qualification to cook, human beings would have fallen out of the evolutionary loop a long time ago.'
