She's back and mentoring The Boys category after two years away from the show.

And Nicole Scherzinger certainly proved who was boss on Wednesday, as sizzling new promotional shots from The X Factor were released by ITV.

The 38-year-old outshone fellow judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne in a cutaway dress with a leather, cutaway bodice.

Smouldering into a wind machine, the sexy singer exposed her bare legs as the floaty skirt of her dress gave way to a tiny bodice beneath.

The bodice was quite something; decorated minimally with leather and sheer black panels.

And beneath it, Nicole went boldly braless, serving up an eyeful of underboob as she rotated her body for the cameras.

Following last week's eliminations, the judges have turned to competitors.

This weekend, the four-piece will go head-to-head for the first time as The Groups, The Boys, The Girls and The Overs categories perform in the first Live Shows. 

Nevertheless, the claws didn't seem to be out between the close judging panel, who were in fact gathered round for a team talk during the promotional shoot, this week.

Big boss Simon seemed to huddle the mentors together in one of the shots; seemingly delivering a team talk.

And it seemed like Nicole and Sharon still had a firm soft spot for adorable 64-year-old Louis.

In another candid shot from the shoot, Nicole and Sharon can be seen puckering up to fellow judge Louis Walsh as he beams beside them.    

While Simon and Louis were typically sharp-suited for the cameras, Sharon was dressed in all her gothic finery.

She gave her bust a boost in a corsetted black dress with floral embroidery and added a dark bolero to cover her shoulders.

The final 12 acts that made it through the weekend's eleiminations are: Honey, Matt, Josh and Kyle Brooks (as Brooks Way), Ryan Lawrie, Freddy Parker, Emily Middlemas, Samantha Lavery, Gifty Louise, Reeley C, Saara Aalto, Bratavio and 5 After Midnight.
