Speaking on this week's The Jonathan Ross Show, joker Jack revealed: 'I have to support Louise because I’ve basically been winding Jamie up for the last month about the Strictly curse...

'I just was winding Jamie up, he was FaceTiming her every hour. He nearly punched me.'

He added: 'Louise is a brilliant dancer and I want her to win, I’m Team Louise.'

Jamie and Louise are one of the strongest couples in showbusiness; the pair wed in 1998 and have sons Beau and Charles together.

Retired ballerina and Strictly judge, Darcey Bussell, also shimmied to the sofa and spoke to Jonathan about her predictions for this year’s series of the dance show.

Darcey admitted she thought because of Louise’s dancing skill, she could go 'all the way' in the competition, as well as tipping Judge Rinder for the win.

Discussing the infamous curse, she said: 'It’s very tactile isn’t it. Celebrities think that the dancers are coming on to them, but they’re not. It’s just the job.'

Looking ahead to the rest of the Strictly series, Darcey said: 'I think it’s time for a boy [to win]… There is a lot of good talent there… You never know. It’s amazing how the show turns.'

This comes after Louise also joked that Jamie had been getting 'angrier and angrier' at curse jibes - from his own dad Harry.

Jamie, 43, was relentlessly teased by football manager Harry Redknapp, as well as comedian Jack, James Corden and Freddie Flintoff and Jack Whitehall on A League Of Their Own.

Louise told the Mirror: 'I watched it this week and I could see Jamie getting angrier and angrier with the jokes… It was so funny!'

'He came home that night after filming and told me all about it and we couldn’t stop laughing.'

The Jonathan Ross Show airs Saturday 8 October at 10.30pm on ITV.
