Jodie Marsh has confessed to developing sexual feelings towards women following her separation from estranged husband James Placido. 

The former glamour model, 37, is in the midst of a messy divorce from Placido, who she married last August following a chance meeting in a car park.

But while she admits to embracing celibacy following the collapse of their whirlwind eight-month marriage in April, Jodie says her past experiences with the opposite sex have put her off men altogether.

Speaking to former Big Brother star Andy West at the London Lifestyle Awards on Monday evening, Jodie confessed to finding the idea of a same sex partner appealing, just days after sharing her feelings with followers on Twitter. 

'Listen, when you’ve had sex with the blokes I have you’d run a mile from sex,' she said. 'It makes my skin crawl. It makes me want to rip my own skin off and bath in bleach and it makes me feel sick. It makes me gag when I think about the blokes I’ve been with.

'I tweeted the other night that I fancy women as well. I don’t want a label, I don’t need a label, but I do fancy women. At the moment, whenever I look at someone that I think is hot, it’s always a woman.'

She added: 'This is not me going “right I’m coming out,” I don’t want a fuss made, I’m just saying as I look around this room there’s a woman over there that’s gorgeous and my eye would be drawn to her over any of the men in suits.'

Jodie has developed separate careers as a body builder and documentary maker after rising to prominence on defunct show Essex Wives in 2002.

But she still had cause to reflect on another early TV appearances, a nine-day stint on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, during which she was at loggerheads with three of the show's more memorable housemates.

'I was in there with the three worst people I could possibly be in there with, which was Michael Barrymore, George Galloway and Pete Burns, absolutely vile,' she said.

'Put me back in the house with them now, I’d wipe the floor with the lot of them, and I mean wipe the floor. If you think I’d stand for Pete Burns telling me anything about life! Anything! 

'I was very weak, very emotional, very vulnerable, in a bad place and then I was basically harassed by three drag queens, all three of them.'

While more than a decade has past since she exited the Big Brother house in tears, Jodie admitted to being haunted by her run-ins with cosmetically altered Pete. 

'I swear on my mum’s life I had nightmares about Pete Burns’ face looming over me,' she said. 'I’d wake up and see his big face looming over me and there’s nothing there.'

The former model also revealed she has since been asked to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house on four separate occasions, but always responds with a flat no.    

She said: 'Every year they ask me, I just say “No, sorry I’m busy.” I want to make my own shows now. If I had nothing else on and needed the money I’d probably consider it.' 

Andy West is hosting a star-studded one man show about life before, during and after Big Brother at the Phoenix Artist Club on October 19.
