One of its largest stores is in Kent’s Bluewater Shopping Centre, where yesterday pop star Pixie Lott – eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend – was pictured after meeting fans in her new role as the face of Magnitone Lucid facial cleansing brush.

The retailer’s House Brand sales rose 11.8 per cent and it launched a tie-up with Caffe Nero in Cambridge with a House of Fraser collection point installed in the upstairs of the café.

Customers can also order clothes from tablet computers available on site. If successful, the venture will be rolled out across the country.

Chief executive John King said: ‘We are very pleased with our performance year to date. We remain confident of delivering further growth for the year and thereafter.’
