Jessica Alba couldn’t resist soaking up the Thailand sun during a break from filming Mechanic: Resurrection.

The bikini clad 33-year-old flashed a smile as she jumped on a boat beside gal pal and make-up artist Lauren Andersen.

Her caption read on Friday: 'Jump for joy! #Thailand w my #BFF @lauren_andersen'.

The mother-of-two teamed her swimwear with a deep blue elephant-patterned sarong.

With their wavy locks worn down in a relaxed hairdo, both Jessica and Lauren looked thrilled as they enjoyed a relaxed moment away from the tourist hotspot shore.

The pair have been pals for close to two decades, having first struck up a friendship as teenagers, Jessica revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

'We met at your fourteenth birthday party,' The actress said in a video that profiled their working relationship.

Lauren has been behind Jessica's make-up at a number of red carpet events, including the 2013 Golden Globes, and couldn't resist meeting up with her friend as she travelled through Thailand.   

Jessica has been at the tourist destination since Sunday filming the sequel to the 2011 film, The Mechanic.

Jason Statham has returned to his role as Arthur Bishop, the titular mechanic, and will share the screen with Jessica, Tommy Lee Jones, and Michelle Yeoh.

Slated for a 2016 release date, Mechanic: Resurrection will follow Arthur as he is tasked with three new assassinations.  

Next up, Jessica has three more films slated for a 2015 release date.

Among them include Barely Lethal, which is currently in post-production and was directed by Jaime King’s husband, Kyle Newman.
