Hunt for well-dressed 'MBA graduate' who randomly stabbed a stranger in Toronto financial district and is now wanted for attempted murder

Police in Toronto have named a woman who they say is wanted for attempted murder in connection to an unprovoked stabbing.

Rohinie Bisesar, 40, is suspected of walking up to a stranger talking on the phone in a drugstore in Toronto’s financial district and plunging a knife into her body 'without provocation,’ police said a new release.

The apparently random attack took place just before 3pm on Friday inside the Shoppers Drug Mart in Toronto’s underground PATH system at 66 Wellington Street West.

The victim, who has not been named, was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. She was listed in stable condition on Monday.

On Saturday, police released a screenshot from a surveillance video showing the well-dressed stabbing suspect walking away from the scene of the crime.

The grainy image shows a slender brunette in a lavender button-down shirt, a black blazer and a matching skirt. She was depicted carrying in her hands a red shopping bag.

On Monday, detectives identified the attempted murder suspect as Ms Bisesar, whom they described in the press release as 'violent and dangerous'.

According to her LinkedIn page, the 40-year-old Toronto resident is a financial adviser and investor who has an MBA degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a Bachelor's degree in molecular biology from University of Toronto. 

Police described the victim to CityNews.ca as being 'significantly' younger than her assailant and noted that it did not appear as if the two women knew one another.

If Bisesar is located, police are urging the public to call 911 right away and not to approach her.
