Double ouch! Julia Louis-Dreyfus gets into character with two 'black eyes' while on set of Veep but it's all part of the scene

Playing a politician can be a taxing and bruising business.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus sported two 'black eyes' while in the midst of filming her TV show, Veep, on the Battleship Iowa in Los Angeles, but it was all thanks to the make-up department.

The 54-year-old's eyes were circled in black and purple shadows and produced the desired effect on Thursday as she filmed scenes for the fifth season of the HBO comedy.
