Guests at one luxury hotel in Mexico can set their holidays off with a bang, thanks to a new app that enables them to create their own fireworks display.
The Las Ventanas al Paraiso Rosewood Resort - frequented by the likes of Jennifer Aniston and George Clooney - is thought to be the first in the world to offer such an activity.
Clients can control the color, duration and effects of their private fireworks show, either by calling reception or ordering it from an app.

They can also hand-pick accompanying music to further personalize the spectacular event.
A spokesperson for Rosewood resorts told MailOnline Travel that so far a couple of guests have booked the fireworks package - one using it to surprise his girlfriend after a marriage proposal.
Apparently there is an 'extensive collection of pyrotechnic effects' available with illuminations including 'crackling tail comets, glittering roman candles, bursting mines and mini-shells'.

There is a fee to arrange the fireworks, which varies depending on the amount of explosives used.
However, guests at the resort's new Ty Warner Mansion get it thrown in for free.
One would hope this would be an extra perk, considering the two-bedroom villa costs £28,302 a night.
The property is named after and conceived of by the Beanie Babie's toy tycoon, who bought Las Ventanas al Paraiso in 2004.
Perks include a pinball game room, state-of-the-art media room and a tequila library stocked with a collection of the world’s rarest Mexican tipples.
