'Show is a go!' Country star Luke Bryan breaks his clavicle while cycling... but vows to play upcoming concert in a sling

It's been said that a main component of country music is pain.

But probably not the kind of pain Luke Bryan is currently suffering after breaking his clavicle.

The 40-year-old country crooner took to Twitter on Thursday to update his fans about the incident, which occurred as he was riding his bike in Greenback, Tennessee.

According to local news outlet WVLT, Luke was actually riding to the venue for his Thursday night concert, which is part of his Farm Tour, when he injured the shoulder.

Later, the Crash My Party singer seemed almost stoic as he related only the facts.

'Broken clavicle. All good. Show is a go. I'll just have my arm in a sling,' reported Luke to his 7.67 million followers.

While it seems like the platinum recording artist is going to be able to cope with his injury, it seems that parenting might in fact be a greater challenge for the multi-platinum recording artist.

Last week he spoke with People, and revealed that he and wife Caroline are still adapting to life with teenager Til.

Luke volunteered to take in nephew Til, 14, and his younger sisters Kris and Jordan following the death of their widowed father, who was also Luke's brother-in-law.

'We woke up and had a teenager in our midst, but we love it,' revealed the Kick the Dust Up singer, before confirming that 'it’s nothing but positive.'

'Til is having a blast and I think he’s finally settled in being in Nashville,' he continued.

Luke went on to describe how parenting a teen is far more complicated than dealing with their own younger boys.

'We’re having to watch grades and watch Instagram and Snap Chat and keep him from being on that all day long,' he said, before breaking out one of his trademark folksy observations.

'It’s interesting because he’ll be a boy one minute and he’ll act like a man the next, so you just try to help him make good decisions and study hard and be respectful and try to do your best to raise them right.'
