Hardly a Trainwreck! Dressed-down Amy Schumer tours $15MILLION, nine-bedroom mansion on New York's Upper West Side - but she still hasn't sold her million-dollar 'walk-up'
- Comic actress Amy Schumer recently toured a $15million property on New York's Upper West Side in her sweats
- The Beaux Arts brownstone has nine bedrooms and nine bathrooms
- It was first listed in 2014 for almost $20 million - which would have made it the second-most expensive Upper West Side property ever sold
- It has a stained glass Tiffany skylight and a roof terrace
- The Trainwreck star has struggled to sell her current place by Central Park
She may have starred in a hit movie bearing the name, but if the Beaux Arts mansion she's thinking of buying is anything to go by, Amy Schumer's life is hardly a 'trainwreck'.
The American comedian known for her salty stand-up recently toured a $15 million town home built in 1900 on New York's Upper West Side.
However Schumer - who is said to have made between $8 million and $10 million on her memoir The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo - kept things casual by showing up in her running clothes.

The comedian posted this picture on Instagram earlier this week captioned 'Jews goin to temp' as she headed off for Rosh Hashanah

The New York Post reported that she recently toured the swanky nine-bedroom town home, which was originally owned by a silk merchant. Situated beside Riverside Park and overlooking the Hudson River, it boasts many original details including a Tiffany stained-glass skylight, mahogany and oak staircase, an original dumbwaiter and staff call buttons.
Dubbed 'an American Masterpiece' by the sellers, the 11,320 square foot residence also boasts nine bathrooms - six full-baths and three half-baths - and no fewer than eight wood-burning fireplaces.
The master bedroom is situated along one corner for maximum light. The house is 26 feet wide with eight huge windows running along the south, overlooking the garden.
It even has an elevator to help the occupant access its five floors - plus roof garden with views of the Hudson and a basement.
Schumer could be in line for a bargain deal, relatively speaking, as the property was listed back in September 2014 for $19.975 million - which at that price, would have made it the second-most expensive property ever sold on the Upper West Side at the time.
But it was relisted under Brown Harris Stevens in December for $17.95 million.
It is currently owned by Helen LaKelly Hunt, daughter of oil tycoon H.L. Hunt, who paid $15.75 million for it in 2007. It has only had three other occupants, including the original owner, silk merchant Adolphe Openhym.
Schumer shared a photo last week of her on what appears to be a private jet en route to a performance in Boston
The roof terrace is 20 feet wide by 40 feet long and offers incredible views of the Hudson River and Riverside Park

The residence would be quite a step-up from Schumer's current home which, she has pointed out, has just one bedroom.
'I'm like the richest person I know and I have a one-bedroom and a walk up. My bed folds up into the wall and I iron there,' the actress told BBC Radio 1's Scott Mills on his radio show.
She failed to mention that the 'walk up' is in fact a $1.7 million Manhattan penthouse situated in the Upper West Side just one block away from Central Park, as the DailyMail.com exclusively reported.
She bought the place before her smash movie Trainwreck - which was semi-autobiographical - hit the cinemas, grossing over $140 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.
The apartment is a full floor in a handsome 20ft wide turn-of the century townhouse.

The pad features high ceilings, a wood burning fireplace, skylight kitchen, a washer and dryer in the bathroom, private staircase to the roof terrace and a secret garden of flowers, shrubs and trees
Schumer has had that property on the market for almost a year. She originally listed it at $2.075 million but as of August it was up for just $1.625 million - less than the $1.695 million she paid for it barely two years ago.
Still, Schumer is currently on a lucrative comedy tour and just published a series of essays titled The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo. The book deal alone was reported to have been worth $8-10 million.
She also has her popular comedy sketch series Inside Amy Schumer.
