Hurricane Matthew began to wreak havoc on Georgia and South Carolina on Friday night as torrential rain thrashed Savannah (left) and winds felled trees in St Simons Island (right). The storm, which left entire towns in Florida under water, is due to cause most damage to Georgia overnight, with 15ft waves expected at high tide. Six people have died in the US since it arrived on the south east coast of Florida. More than 800 people in Haiti, where it struck first, have been killed.

A new video captures newlywed Donald Trump bragging about his attempts to seduce a married woman and boasting about how being a 'star' means he can get away with 'anything' when trying to bed a woman. The recording, obtained by the Washington Post, was made on an Access Hollywood set in 2005 and captures Trump (bottom right), newly married to Melania, discussing women with host Billy Bush (top right). The shocking outburst captures Trump detailing his pursuit of an unidentified married woman. 'I moved on her and I failed. I'll admit it. I did try and f--- her. She was married', he says on the recording made off-set as the pair waited on a bus. Trump and Bush also commented on the appearance of Arianne Zucker (all three, left) in the audio. The comments have quickly been condemned, with Hillary Clinton tweeting: 'This is horrific. We cannot allow this man to become president.' Meghan McCain, the daughter of former Republican candidate John McCain, also commented on the recording, saying: 'This godforsaken election. This vile excuse for a nominee. I cannot find the humor in any of this.' Billy Bush is the nephew of former president George H.W. Bush, and first cousins with George W. and Jeb Bush.

Wikileaks on Friday published emails from campaign chairman John Podesta. One of them, sent by campaign research director Tony Carrk in January this year, points out 'flags' in Hillary Clinton's paid speeches. In his email , Clarrk warns his team that they should 'give an extra scrub' to a lot of the policy positions expressed in Clinton's speech. Clinton's campaign wouldn't confirm whether the emails published by Wikileaks (whose editor Julian Assange is pictured left) were authentic. But spokesman Glen Caplin said administration officials have 'removed any reasonable doubt that the Kremlin has weaponized Wikileaks to meddle in our election and benefit Donald Trump's candidacy'.

Hillary Clinton's campaign attacked Donald's Trump's friendliness towards Russia on Friday after the US government formally accused the country of recent cyber attacks related to the election. The Department of Homeland Security and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence announced in a joint statement that they were confident Russia's 'senior-most officials' ordered the attacks and seemingly accused Vladimir Putin (left) of interference in the American political system. It is impossible for such an explosive charge to have been made without authorization from President Obama. On Friday evening, the Clinton (right) camp tweeted: 'It should concern every American that Russia is willing to engage in such hostile acts in order to help Donald Trump (center) become president.' In addition, a statement from John Podesta, Clinton's campaign chair, questioned why Trump 'continues to make apologies for the Russians.'

Brittanee Marie Drexel, 17 (inset), traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, from Rochester, New York, with some friends without telling her parents, and disappeared without a trace on April 25, 2009. This past summer, the FBI revealed that Drexel had been raped, murdered and left in an alligator pit about an hour from the hotel in McClellanville, where she is believed to have been held in a house for at least three days. On Friday, Dawn and Chad Drexel appeared on Dr. Phil (the couple pictured together in the studio, main), sharing for the first-time information they have received about what happened to their daughter. No charges have ever been filed and the body has never been found.

Francois Graftieaux (left), who has never married and lives quietly on the Algarve, is convinced he is the Duke's grandson. This week, Graftieaux laid out his years of research, together with some fanciful speculation, in a memoir published in France under the mischievous title The Man Who Should Have Been King. According to him, his father was the result of an affair between the future King Edward VIII (right) and his grandmother Marie-Leonie Graftieaux, a dirt-poor Parisian seamstress.

The Rolling Stones, Sir Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, The Who, Neil Young and Roger Waters will all be performing on the same stage this weekend - at the Empire Polo Club in Indio Valley, California. Derrick Rose (pictured left and right arriving to court on Thursday), 28, told Los Angeles court on Friday that a text sent by the woman on the morning of the 2013 alleged rape, which mentioned being horny, had led him to think she had consented. Attorney Mark Baute, who represents Rose, argued she had filed the $21.5 million suit for the money and asked for a mistrial. He said on Friday she had sent Rose a text asking him for $269 to cover the price of a pink sex harness (inset, file picture) she had left at his house, as well as a cab ride.

A terrifying video of a Boeing aircraft aborting its landing was captured in Prague as the plane went up against some very strong cross winds while trying to land (top left). Videographer, Radko Nasinec, captured the cringe-worthy footage of the Boeing 737-430 (bottom left) narrowly avoiding a crash as its wheels grazed the runway. The video, which was shot at the Václav Havel Airport in Prague, Czech Republic, shows the airplane swaying back and forth and dipping to the right (top right) as it was attempting its first landing. The pilot was forced to pull up (bottom right) quickly because of the large gusts of wind that caused it to sway violently back and forth. The pilot then reascended and flew the plane back into the holding pattern in preparation for the second landing. During the second attempt to land, the plane once again swayed back and forth on its way down, but this time the pilot was able to make a safe landing.

Fans of body art have flocked from all over the world to get inkings from some of the country's leading artists at the third annual two-day Israel Tattoo Convention in Tel Aviv. Among them is Magneto (bottom left and top right), from Berlin, whose entire face is covered in inkings, including his eyeballs.

Students from a Texas high school gave their beloved choir director, Mariana Walker (left), a heartfelt sendoff as they gathered on her doorstep to sing to her one last time. Walker, who was Alvin Junior High School's choir director, died shortly after the students (right) finished their melody. Walker had been diagnosed with cancer and after her illness progressed she left school and went home for hospice care. The students stood outside Walker's home and sang Hillsong's Oceans to show her how much they loved and cherished her. The school has established a memorial scholarship in Walker's name.

Amy Schumer is considering buying a $15million property on New York's Upper West Side. The Beaux Arts brownstone overlooking the Hudson River has eight fireplaces and an elevator! Amy recently took a tour of the swanky nine-bedroom pad, which was originally owned by a silk merchant. However Schumer - who is known for her salty stand-up - kept things casual by showing up in her running clothes.

Gavin MacCall, of Boulder, has built a training course for little Lylah in their backyard - complete with a zip line (center), a set of swings and two garden sheds to climb. He shared a video last week showing the little girl effortlessly moving through the obstacles. Her father can be heard giving a humorous running commentary inspired by NBC's American Ninja Warrior, where athletic participants try to finish an obstacle race. Lylah goes up a cargo climb (left0 and ends up on top of a garden shed. She finishes her race in two minutes and 23 seconds after a warped wall, like real-life contestants, and punches a buzzer before raising her fist victoriously (right).

An alien spear from Predator 2, a photo of Marilyn Monroe, Andy Warhol portraits and a Nazi armband signed by US soldiers are among dozens of stolen items the Los Angeles Police Department is working to track down. The LAPD's Art Theft detectives are assigned to specifically investigate thefts and burglaries when valuable pieces are the focus. In addition, the special group also investigates frauds, fakes and forgeries that involve artwork. They are the only full-time law enforcement unit in the country that is devoted to investigate art crimes. In an effort to find more long-lost pieces, the Art Theft Detail released a series of photos of the stolen items, that also include  a guitar designed by rock legend Eddie Van Halen, the first Batman comic and a pair of nameless Oscar statuettes.

Laura Levis (pictured left and write on her wedding day), a writer and editor at the Harvard Magazine and Harvard Gazette, died last month aged 34 of a devastating asthma attack in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her husband Peter DeMarco (pictured right and inset with Levis), also a writer in the Greater Boston area, still remembers the names of the doctors, nurses, social workers, respiratory specialists and members of the cleaning staff who cared for his wife of two years and their family. The hospital's staff, DeMarco wrote, made sure to explain procedures and answer the family's questions patiently. They 'didn't see a thing' when he smuggled in their cat Cola for a final goodbye. But most of all, DeMarco is thankful for the last hour he ever got to spend alone with Levis.

Car enthusiasts couldn't bare to look as an $600,000 Ferrari became stuck in flood waters in Bangkok, Thailand this week. The luxury sports car became submerged in the middle of the busy Ngam Wong Wan road. The list of repairs include everything from new floor carpets to replacement electronic control systems for the seat. Flash floods caused by heavy rains lead to traffic chaos in Bangkok this week.

The amazing clip, believed to have been filmed in South Korea, begins with the sugar glider preparing to jump as the woman extends her hand. The black and white critter throws itself from the top of a door and soars through the air before making a perfect landing. The footage has been viewed more than 22 million times since being posted on social media three days ago.

Unnerving footage from Iceland shows a low-flying passenger plane flying through a thunderstorm and being struck by a massive bolt of lightning as shocked onlookers film the drama. The plane appears to be trying to gain altitude and avoid the worst of the storm, but the electrical bolt strikes the plane before it can escape the violent weather.

The thrillseekers, filmed in Orlando, were recorded on camera last Saturday. The terrified female rider shuts her eyes tightly as the slingshot fires into the air before the pair make some amusing facial expressions. At the end of the ride she finally concedes: 'That was pretty cool.'
