Fancy seeing you here! Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson goes into fan mode as he films selfie video with Home And Away's Ray Meagher

One is a professional sportsman and the other is an acting veteran on long-running drama Home And Away.

But despite their professions being worlds apart, it appears Ray Meagher has one diehard fan in Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson.

The 26-year-old was seen filming a selfie video with the 72-year-old television great, after meeting at the Radio Sport Studio in New Zealand on Friday.

Shaun met Ray, who plays Alf Stewart on the Channel Seven program, at the Radio Sport Studio, after completing a live interview with the show's hosts.

Ray was soon to follow, on the promotional trail for his role as Bob 'the mechanic' in the New Zealand production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

The pair later took part in a short selfie video, where Ray is heard saying Alf Stewart's famous line: 'stone the flamin' crows.'

But it appeared admiration was mutual, with Ray a keen fan of football both national and international.

'I've seen him play many times and he is absolutely phenomenal,' Ray was heard saying about Shaun.

'I mean, how do you tackle that? He just keeps moving in different directions and very quickly,' he continued.

Fans of Home And Away may find it hard to believe that the acting veteran played rugby in the late 1960s.

He played for Queensland at senior level as a first five-eighth.

The Logie Award-winner has appeared on television since the mid 1970's and has no plans yet to hang up his acting boots.
