'Slightly hairier now!' David Beckham pokes fun at his beard as he poses in front of waxwork figures of himself and Victoria at Madame Tussauds

His wife Victoria Beckham is hard at work raising awareness for UNAIDS in Africa.

And it looked like she wasn't far from David Beckham's mind as he shared a cheeky selfie of their iconic waxwork figures at London's Madame Tussauds on Saturday.

The former professional footballer, 41, crouched down in-front of the iconic models   as he acknowledged his slightly hairier metamorphosis.

'Thank you to Nicole and everyone at Madame Tussauds for letting me meet this lovely couple and showing the kids around...(slightly hairier) myself not my wife,' he joked as he visited the clean-shaved figurine of himself.

While his real-life appearance was one of a casually cool father-of-four, his model was more suited and booted in a Hugo Boss black suit and tie, with his mane neatly styled to one side.

Victoria also looked ravishing in a fitted magenta dress - an actual design from her SS'14 Ready-to-Wear collection.

The current models, which are met by thousands of tourists each year, replaced older versions of the famous power couple formed back in 2004.

David has been enjoying some down-time recently and had an epic boys' night with good pal, Guy Ritchie.

The friends certainly went all out for their boys' night in leafy Ashcombe, Surrey, as they built a giant caged wood fire to cook their food - which David proceeded to stand in, to the laughter of his director pal.

Uploading the funny video to his Instagram page, the former footballer and the Snatch director showcased not only their friendship but their silly senses of humour too in the candid clip.

David and Guy have been friends for years - often enjoying drinks and workouts in London together, and with the former Manchester United star attending Guy's summer wedding to model Jacqui Ainsley, 34, last year.

Meanwhile, Victoria is taking a break from her fashion empire and embracing her humanitarian efforts in Africa.

Fighting the stigma of AIDS, the former Spice Girl started her trip in Kenya and then moved on to Nairobi.
