Football presenter Richard Keys has finally admitted there is 'an element of truth' in the stories that he had an affair with a 27-year-old woman. It was said that Keys, who previously admitted behaving in a 'prehistoric way' towards women, cheated on his partner with lawyer Lucie Rose (shown right). His wife Julia (pictured together, left), who has thyroid cancer, announced they were to divorce - but 24 hours later insisted her husband had not committed adultery. Confronted at Heathrow as he fly back to the UK from the Middle East for talks with his wife, Keys, 59, revealed that parts of the claims were true. He had moved to the Middle East since leaving his job at Sky Sports in disgrace after making sexist remarks.

I forgive you, mum: Canoe son rebuilds relationship with mother Anne Darwin after she lied to him and his brother for FIVE YEARS that their father was dead
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH MARK DARWIN: Mark Darwin and his younger brother Anthony stood with their mother Anne when they threw a wreath of red roses into the choppy waters off a windswept pier in County Durham in 2004. His father, John Darwin, had disappeared during a canoeing accident two years earlier and been declared dead. What Mark could not have known as he comforted his mother was that behind a wall dividing the house from the one next door stood the 'dead' man himself. No wonder Mark and Anthony swore they would have nothing more to do with their parents. Yet now, there has been a most unlikely reconciliation between Mark and Anne. Pictured: Mark and Anne Darwin in London last week (left); John and Anne with Mark and Anthony as schoolboys (centre); and Anne joins Mark, his wife Flick and their children Joe and Max on holiday in Spain (right).
'X Factor thug left me black and blue': Brooks Way is booted off live show as ex-girlfriend says singing twin, 17, 'kicked her in face and broke her nose'
The 17-year-old (pictured with twin Kyle left), from Penarth is alleged to have attacked his girlfriend Amelia Clarke (centre and right) at a New Year's party, something the hopeful has strenuously denied. As the first live show of the series got underway, host Dermot O'Leary simply said: 'Sadly, due to circumstances, Brooks Way will not be appearing this evening.' Detectives allowed Josh to walk free after Amelia refused to press charges. Known as 'Milly', it's thought she met Josh while they lived together in the Welsh town. Amelia, who now lives in New York, has posed dozens of pouting selfies and snaps from nights outs on social media.
Ukip MEP WAS punched: Doctors say Steven Woolfe's injuries prove he 'was attacked and suffered more than just a seizure or a fall'
Nigel Farage and his 'ex-mistress' are dragged into Ukip leadership farce over claims he regarded his successor Diane James as 'an utter b****'
The abuse is contained in a leaked email sent by Annabelle Fuller (left), who was once named in the European Parliament as Farage's mistress. She now works for Mike Hookem, the Ukip MEP accused of hitting party leadership favourite Steven Woolfe (right) last week in Strasbourg. Both Farage and Fuller vehemently deny any affair. Woolfe was one of the recipients of the 'utter bitch' email, sent as Diane James (centre) was standing for Ukip in the Eastleigh by-election in February 2013. In the message, dated a fortnight before James came within a whisker of claiming victory, Fuller said: 'I understand from the man who knows best we've been lumbered with an utter bitch who is Marta Mk 2.' 'Marta Mk 2' is a reference to former Ukip MEP Marta Andreasen, who enraged Farage by defecting to the Conservatives in 2013, calling him 'anti-women' and a 'Stalinist dictator'.
Here's what Cambridge students think of their sexual consent classes: Women's officer posts picture of empty hall as freshers boycott 'patronising' talks
No freshers attended an hour-long sexual consent workshop at Clare College, Cambridge. Women's officer Rosie Boxall later posted pictures of the empty auditorium on social media (pictured) and lambasted freshers for snubbing the event. She described it as a 'huge step backwards'. Workshops are being held at universities across the country in order to inform new students about sexual consent in an effort to tackle the rising number of assaults on campus. Earlier this month, students at York University staged a walkout in protest against consent classes.
No wonder she's cracking open the bubbly... this woman's clinical negligence firm bagged £29m from the NHS in legal costs for cases last year
Sheffield-based company Irwin Mitchell, which like many firms attracts clients with the promise of so-called no win, no fee agreements, was paid a startling £29,027,575 by the NHS in legal costs for medical negligence cases in 2015-16 alone, according to figures obtained by The Mail on Sunday under the Freedom of Information Act. During the latest financial year, the company secured £38,454,015 for its medical negligence clients, according to NHSLA figures, suggesting that for every £1 it secured in damages, it was paid 75p. But Lisa Jordan (pictured), Irwin Mitchell's head of medical negligence, accused the NHSLA of issuing 'selective' and 'misleading' figures.
Stop the King taking off! It's the dramatic untold twist of the abdication crisis: how Edward VIII tried to flee the country in his private plane - and sent the Government into a tailspin
A new book, The King Who Had To Go: Edward VIII, Mrs Simpson And The Hidden Politics Of The Abdication Crisis, looks at the romance between the monarch and Wallis Simpson - and how Britain faced its biggest royal mess since 1688 when James II fled to France in the face of a parliamentary coup. It was December 1936 and since Edward had announced his plans to wed twice-married Wallis Simpson, the Government had blocked his every wish - including his plan to make a broadcast to the Empire 'to tell them that he intended to marry Mrs S but without announcing his abdication'. The book also details how Edward (pictured, alongside his personal plane), had confided the scheme to one of his few remaining friends, Winston Churchill, who immediately recognised its danger. Churchill, then a backbench MP in his 'wilderness years', supported the King in general, but saw that such a move would be disastrous.
Almost 400 ISIS jihadis trained in Iraq and Syria are now at large on Britain's streets... as it's revealed just 14 fighters who have returned to the UK have been jailed
Just 14 battle-hardened ISIS fighters have been jailed. The shock figure is far lower than Ministers previously claimed and means almost 400 jihadis trained in Syria and Iraq are at large on Britain's streets. Imran Khawaja (left) was jailed for 12 years after he was caught trying to sneak back into Britain but Gianluca Tomaselli, (middle, right) who fought in Syria, is working as an NHS parking attendant in London.

The barrow boys at London's 137-year-old Chapel Market in Islington may be silenced after complaints from well-heeled residents who have moved into swanky flats nearby, inset. They say the bellowing of the traders is too loud and have protested to the council. David Twydell, 59, pictured, chairman of the Chapel Market stall holders' association, who has traded in Islington since he was 12, said: 'Ever since the flats were bought and refurbished last year we have had no end of problems from the landlord and the tenants.'

In her first interview since the ruling, Elaine says it brings her little joy. 'The judge did the right thing,' she says, 'but there is no victory here. I just feel so sorry for Michael and what his daughter's done to his name. Calling him a philanderer and things was terrible. Awful.'

Mr Hughes said Zoe has been a 'wonderful mother of two, loving partner and daughter'.

Tree murderers! Residents' fury as police order council to chop one down to stop youths throwing apples at cars
Youths started picking apples from the tree (circled, left) in a park in Wallasey, Merseyside, and hurled them at cars and passers-by. Police decided not to wait for the fruit season to pass and ordered the council to chop the tree down (pictured after, right). The decision has angered residents who have accused the authorities of over-reacting to the problem. One resident went so far to suggest the tree had been 'murdered' by authorities.

THE WORLD AT A GLANCE
EXCLUSIVE: 'I had to hold her again': Syrian baby girl pulled ALIVE from the rubble is reunited with the tearful hero who touched the hearts of millions
Abu Kifah, beamed with happiness and pride after travelling for hours through the dusty Syrian landscape to a patch of farmland Wahida Ma'artouk's family now calls home (left, the rescuer and toddler together). Footage (right) of Kifah pulling the then-30-day-old baby from the wreckage of her bombed home went around the world and reduced a veteran BBC presenter to tears. 'I carried her in my arms again and the night of the rescue came back to me,' Kifah told MailOnline after their reunion. But it was not without sorrow. Since their home was reduced to rubble, allegedly by Russian or Syrian warplanes, Wahida's parents were forced to move the baby girl (inset, in Idlib) and her brother Zakaria to a rough patch of farmland where they survive on even less than before.

Mystery of Flight 455: Forty years on questions remain about whether the CIA was behind the bombing of a Cuban passenger jet in which 73 people died
Forty years ago today a Cuban passenger jet trundled down the runway at Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados and took off, climbing into a blue Caribbean sky en route to Jamaica. Two bombs exploded 11 minutes later and all 73 people on the plane were killed. A memorial stands by the sea (pictured, left) overlooking the spot where Flight 455 came down. The DC-8 (similar to the one pictured, top right) was owned by Fidel Castro's regime and 47 of those on board were from Cuba. Cubans divers (bottom right) were sent down to look for the wreckage. But years later questions remain about whether the CIA was involved and there are hopes the thaw in US/Cuban relations will lead to the mystery finally being solved.
