ED BALLS shares his Strictly Come Dancing diary with The Mail On Sunday: They say fancy footwork is a good thing in Westminster and Strictly Come Dancing has long been a favourite in the Balls-Cooper household. But when I was approached by the BBC to take part back in May, I was cautious. People like me just don't do things like that and, when I talked to my wife Yvette, I thought she'd tell me not to risk making a fool of myself. 'You have to do it,' she said instantly. 'How could you possibly pass up the opportunity to learn to dance on the biggest TV show there is?' I turned to Jeremy Vine, a Strictly veteran, and when he said it was the best experience he'd ever had, my mind was made up.

The astonishing scene was captured on camera at a classroom in the north east of Russia. An unruly pupil refused to take out his headphones, prompting the professor to tug them out himself. Although the headphones did not appear to break the boy reacted furiously. 'You are a b******' he reportedly shouted going berserk, before he lunged towards the teacher and lined up to strike a punch. But the rest of the class rushed in to protect the old man, and then punished their fellow pupil for showing a lack of respect.

The property comes with 59 acres and 300ft of double-bank fishing on the River Cych. Boleyn House (bottom right) in the village of Ash went on the market at £975,000 and is now for sale at offers in excess of £850,000. Mounthooley House (top right) in the Scottish Borders came on the market in May at £745,000 and is now £695,000.

Mahamed Abdullahi, from King's College London Students' Union, called the traditional rendition of God Save The Queen 'outdated', adding 'f*** the nation state'. Although the suggestion was dismissed as 'petulant and disrespectful' by fellow students, the university management admitted it was 'in discussion' about the use of the song. King's College London was founded in 1829 under the patronage of King George IV. It plays God Save The Queen towards the end of graduation ceremonies.

Football presenter Richard Keys has finally admitted there is 'an element of truth' in the stories that he had an affair with a 27-year-old woman. It was said that Keys, who previously admitted behaving in a 'prehistoric way' towards women, cheated on his partner with lawyer Lucie Rose (shown right). His wife Julia (pictured together, left), who has thyroid cancer, announced they were to divorce - but 24 hours later insisted her husband had not committed adultery. Confronted at Heathrow as he fly back to the UK from the Middle East for talks with his wife, Keys, 59, revealed that parts of the claims were true. He had moved to the Middle East since leaving his job at Sky Sports in disgrace after making sexist remarks.

Lane Pittman was caught on video head banging to Slayer's Raining Blood as he stood in the middle of a road in Jacksonville, Florida, and braved strong winds and rain during Hurricane Matthew. In the video, Pittman is seen standing in a lunge position (left, center and right) as he steadies himself against the wind before twirling his ginger locks back and forth. What's even more impressive is that the shirtless man was even carrying an American flag.

Hurricane Matthew moved on to North Carolina on Saturday afternoon, dumping 10 inches of rain on the state after a path of devastation along the east coast. It swamped Charleston, South Carolina (top right) earlier in the day after wreaking havoc in Savannah, Georgia (bottom left) and across Florida (bottom right). At least 14 have died and almost 2million left without power by the storm.

The barrow boys at London's 137-year-old Chapel Market in Islington may be silenced after complaints from well-heeled residents who have moved into swanky flats nearby, inset. They say the bellowing of the traders is too loud and have protested to the council. David Twydell, 59, pictured, chairman of the Chapel Market stall holders' association, who has traded in Islington since he was 12, said: 'Ever since the flats were bought and refurbished last year we have had no end of problems from the landlord and the tenants.'

The only Islamic transgender boarding school in Indonesia has been shut down after a wave of intolerance sparked by the activities of hard-line Muslim groups in the country. Several months ago, amid a sudden backlash against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, a local hardline group called Islamic Jihad Front forced the school to close (inset and right, one of the students). But headmistress, Shinta Ratri (right) said: 'We want to prove that Islam accepts transgenders, that Islam is a blessing for all mankind'.

Music fans around the world and Minnesota residents have long wondered about Paisley Park, the late pop icon Prince's mysterious studio complex to which few have had full access. On Thursday, the mystery came to an end for some fans who snared tour tickets and descended on the Minneapolis suburb of Chanhassen to see inside the late Purple Rain star's 55,000-square-foot inner sanctum. The complex opened in 1987, and was a fully functional recording studio used by a number of artists during its peak in the 1990s. While some parts of Paisley Park were now outfitted to exhibit memorabilia, other areas -- such as his working studio -- have been left untouched since the singer's death, tour attendees said. Rooms in the studio complex were themed according to Prince's albums, like Graffiti Bridge or Purple Rain. The superstar's vast collection of distinctive costumes, pianos and guitars from each time period were on display throughout.

The theme park in Ningbo City, eastern China (pictured) is advertising that visitors can see the entire world 'in just a few steps' while also enjoying waterslides and rollercoasters. The complex of buildings covers 250 acres and is filled with more than 50 recreations, including Big Ben (left), the Colosseum (centre) and Statue of Liberty (right). Despite the unusual setting, builders have gone to bizarre lengths to make the replicas, made from modern bricks, stone and plaster, look like the originals.

The subterranean ice palaces in the Dachstein caves in Austria, were created when water seeped through stone around 500 years ago leaving breath-taking sculptures behind. The caves have now become a must-see for tourists and scientists, but were only discovered in 1910. However, researchers believe this may not have been the first time humans laid eyes on the caves after bear bones were found among the ice - suggesting early tribes once lived in them.
