Jamelia slams Peter Andre

Chart star Jamelia has taken a swipe at Peter Andre after he beat her to the number one spot.

The singer is livid that Andre's re-released Mysterious Girl topped the charts last week rather than her single, Thank You.

Asked on MTV News about the I'm A Celebrity star's song, she stormed: "Everyone knows that it's rubbish, everyone knew it was rubbish 10 years ago, and it's still rubbish today.

"The real music-heads will know that I am the rightful owner of the number one spot.

"He deserves it because you know he'll never ever get another number one, so let him have his cake.

"I think he is the next Justin Timberlake, I seriously do - in Croatia."

Andre declined to hit back, saying: "I've never been in this game to care what others think."

The star is likely to be knocked off the top of the charts this weekend by Britney Spears and her single Toxic.
