Age-defying Helena Christensen, 47, turns heads in low cut white dress at Met Opera Gala

She rose to fame as arguably the most beautiful model in the world.

And Helena Christensen proved she's still a knockout as she turned heads at the Metropolitan Opera opening night gala in New York on Monday.

The 47-year-old showed off a body that would have left many half her age green with envy on the pre-show red carpet.

Helena looked ageless in the adventurously cut white gown, which boasted an adventurously plunging neckline that showcased her admirable assets to the maximum.

She rounded off her look with a pair of towering stilettos, and clutch purse and subtle silver jewellery.

The saucy stunner is clearly still popular among designers, as she also posed up for a snap with fellow Dane Camilla Staerk.

But it is not all glamorous nights out and late lie-ins for the catwalk legend.

But the Scandinavian beauty is keeping her eye in when it comes to the world of modelling, for she is one of the superstar models fronting a campaign for British department store Debenhams.

Catwalk icons Helena, Eva Herzigova and Yasmin Le Bon all feature in the new campaign for the department store's Designers at Debenhams range.

The models each front a different designer's collection for the Autumn/Winter 2016 season.

Eva is the face of Star by Julien Macdonald, while Yasmin fronts the Nine by Savannah Miller range, and Helena models Principles by Ben de Lis
