Cheer parade! Paris Jackson cracks a smile as she meets cancer-stricken mom Debbie Rowe for lunch... and boyfriend Michael Snoddy tags along

No doubt things have been difficult for Debbie Rowe lately, as she's been battling breast cancer while enduring chemotherapy.

But on Friday she was still able to muster a smile when her daughter Paris Jackson met up with her for a spot of lunch.

The 18-year-old stepped out with her 57-year-old mom, and the duo was also accompanied by Paris's boyfriend Michael Snoddy.

For the outing, Paris kept things casual but classy, opting for an olive top with the sleeves rolled up, and some denim-print cropped leggings.

A pair of tan boots worn without the laces tied added an even more laid back vibe to the look.

Accessories included different bracelets, including a frilly wristband, and an earthy necklace.

She carried her belongings in a small leather print backpack.

Mother Debbie also kept things casual in a white shirt, jeans and a white duster-style coat.

Some leather boots with intricate embroidery and a purse brimming with tassels added a tad of southwestern flair to her ensemble.

Of course she also wore a ball cap to no doubt protect her chemo-induced bald head from the California sun.

Paris's boyfriend Michael perhaps was the most casual of all, sporting just a black t-shirt, extremely ripped jeans and some black sneakers.

Also on Friday, Paris Jackson posted a photo to Instagram of herself with her mother, Debbie Rowe.

The 18-year-old kissed the 57-year-old's head, which had gone entirely bald from the chemotherapy that, according to TMZ, she began in September for breast cancer.

Earlier that day, Jackson had tweeted that 'apparently more cancer patients die from the chemo itself than from the actual cancer,' along with a YouTube video entitled: 'Science Explains How Cannabis Kills Cancer Cells.'

The video by the Miami-based Cannabis Planet TV is an interview with molecular biologist Cristina Sánchez of the Complutense University Of Madrid.

Therein, she vaunts the virtues of 'cannabinoid-based medicines,' which she claims would 'target specifically tumor cells. They do not have any toxic effect on normal, nontumoral cells,' whereas chemotherapy would 'target basically everything.'

Meanwhile, in her Instagram caption, the only daughter of Michael Jackson declined to criticise her mother's choice of treatment. She wrote simply: 'i'm a fighter because she's a fighter. love you mom'.

Later in the day, she appeared to be taking some comfort from her ordeal in the embrace of boyfriend, Michael Snoddy.

An Instagram photo showed her standing with her back to the camera, turning her head so her face was visible in profile. The 26-year-old threw an arm about her shoulder, grinning at her from beneath a pink mohawk.

Both of their tops - his tank-top and her full-sleeve shirt - read: 'THANK GOD FOR PUNK ROCK.'

She captioned the photo: 'hello there the angel from my nightmare #punkrocklove,' the word 'nightmare' possibly alluding to her mother's illness. Initially, the caption had only included the hashtag; the rest of the text was added later.

Rowe, who was married to the King Of Pop from from 1996 to 1999, gave the camera a resolute smile. A large, elaborate cross dangled from her neck.

TMZ have reported that the cancer diagnosis pushed the two women to mend fences, years after Jackson shut Rowe out of her life and refused to answer her phone calls.

Earlier this year, Jackson amplified the feud by unfollowing her mother on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

On Facebook, the Spokane native had confided: 'One of the saddest things in this world is to see a child grow up hating one of their parents because they only got one side of the story.'

Rowe married the Thriller singer the year of his divorce from his first wife, Lisa Marie Presley. They'd met when Rowe - who'd also been married before - worked as a nurse at the clinic where he underwent treatment for his notorious vitiligo.

Before their daughter was born, the marriage produced a son called Michael Joseph 'Prince' Jackson, Jr, who is now 19 years old.

After his second divorce, the Billie Jean singer had a child via surrogacy called Prince Michael 'Blanket' Jackson II in 2002. Seven years later, he died at the age of 50 via acute intoxication of propofol and benzodiazepines.
