Home sweet home: Susan Boyle back in her dressing gown after returning to the comfort of her Scottish council house
She's stayed in some of America's most exclusive hotels in recent weeks, but for Susan Boyle there's nothing quite like the comforts of home.
The Britain's Got Talent runner-up couldn't have looked happier as she greeted fans from the doorstep of her council house in Blackburn, near Glasgow, wearing her fluffy polka dot dressing gown over pyjamas.
Her cheerful disposition yesterday was in stark contrast to her nervous and withdrawn demeanor at a meet and greet session with her fans in New York City earlier this week.

She broke down in tears and was seen sucking her thumb after a note-perfect performance at the Rockefeller Centre for the Today Show.
Her spokesperson put it down to her feeling 'overjoyed' by the warm response she has received in the U.S.

Susan was in the States to promote her new album, I Dreamed A Dream, and by all accounts took the country by storm.
She was even named one of America’s People Of The Year by NBC during a television special which aired on Thanksgiving.
Her record looks set to shoot straight to the top of the U.K. charts tomorrow and yesterday she said reaching No. 1 would be 'an absolute honour'.
But her public meltdown during the whistle-stop promotional tour in America has reignited fears over her well-being.
It is only months since she was catapulted to stardom on Britain's Got Talent, leading to worldwide fame - and a spell in The Priory.
Susan, who had learning difficulties as a child, checked in to the rehabilitation centre hours after coming second to dance group Diversity on the talent show in May.
Despite renewed concerns, her spokesperon insists: 'She is definitely not finding it overwhelming or stressful. She loves the travel. She wants to do a lot more of it. She is enjoying herself.
'She has realised a dream. She is just so happy.'
