Sold-out Blackpool v Manchester United to face late inspection over weather-hit pitch

Blackpool’s home clash with Manchester United on Saturday will face a last minute pitch inspection as the Seasiders do not have undersoil heating at their Bloomfield Road ground.

The weekend fixture is a sell-out as Seasiders fans look forward to the prospect of playing their North-West rivals for the first time competively in over 35 years.

The last time the two sides met at Bloomfield Road wa in 1974-75 when United ran out 3-0 winners en route to securing their promotion to the top flight as champions from the old Division Two.
