Cash bonanza! Promotion chasers Norwich City flush after £2m windfall from Michael Foulger

Norwich manager Paul Lambert's transfer kitty has received a £2million cash injection thanks to a new investment from the club's deputy chairman.

Michael Foulger has taken his shareholding in the club up to 15 per cent after acquiring 80,000 additional shares, and all his £2million investment has been ring-fenced by City's board of directors, which a statement said will be used solely for the playing budget and not spent in other areas.

'This money will all go to help Paul and his plans for the squad, whether that be when the emergency loan window re-opens next week or in the summer - or both,' said Foulger.
