Redknapp cools interest in Beckham as red-hot Tottenham storm up the table

Tottenham's charge up the Premier League table could derail Harry Redknapp's bid to sign David Beckham.

Spurs moved up to third after a comfortable 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on Monday, their eighth win in nine league games.

And Redknapp is unable to guarantee Beckham a starting place with his team in a rich vein for form.

The former England captain will be a free agent next month when his LA Galaxy contract expires.

Paris Saint Germain remain favourites to sign to the 36-year-old.
