Superfit Nell McAndrew flaunts her toned arms in neon orange vest as she limbers up for half marathon in London

Her love of marathon running is well documented.

So it's little surprise that former glamour girl Nell McAndrew was spending her weekend taking part in the Royal Park Foundation half marathon on Sunday, making sure to turn heads in an eye-catching neon ensemble.

The 42-year-old displayed her enviable toned legs in a pair of thigh-skimming black shorts as she sported a neon orange running vest for the running event.

Flaunting the fruits of her healthy lifestyle, the former lads' mag favourite exhibited her incredibly toned arms in the vest top, which teased at her monochrome inspired sports bra.

Nell's barely there running attire did little to combat the October chill, however, as she jogged on the spot to warm-up before the race.

In an attempt to keep her muscles warm, the Yorkshire born beauty adorned her calves with a pair of fun neon-striped legwarmers, along with black gloves.

The presenter - who also competed on the very first series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2002 - slipped on a pair of vibrant red trainers which she teamed with a pair of acid orange ankle socks.

Nell - who has been an advocate for running for over 11 years - appeared fresh-faced waiting for the race to begin as she worked a natural make-up look with a touch of eyeliner under her waterline.

Not the only recognisable face at the event, Nell joined fellow celebrity runners Jo Whiley, Sarah-Jane Mee, Jenni Falconer, Sophie Raworth and Ben Fogle for the half marathon.

Speaking about her love of the sport last year, the mother-of-two - who has penned a book on the sport, Nell McAndrew's Guide to Running - said it was the simplicity of running that first caught her attention.

Speaking to the MailOnline in 2015, she said: 'It's [running] one of the easiest sports to do; you don't need fancy equipment or to pay expensive gym fees.

'You can get up and go from your own front door whenever you feel like it. It doesn't even have to take up lots of your time.'
