Protesters pelt Greek news anchor with eggs and yoghurt live on air
Egging has long been a favoured form of messy political protest - but in this case the addition of yoghurt gave the stunt a uniquely Greek flavour.
News anchor Panagiotis Bourchas was left dripping in the stuff after protesters rushed his studio during a live broadcast, bombarding him with volley after volley of food.
Viewers in Greece watched as his show - captured in the video below - ground to a halt as the mob burst in shortly after 9pm on Friday.
Incoming! Mr Bourchas looks up as the first volley of yoghurt comes sailing in from behind the cameras
Mr Bourchas is mid-interview when a woman is heard shouting off camera, before a yoghurt pot sails into view and explodes over the host.
His guest immediately escapes unscathed, leaving the anchor to endure the onslaught alone.
The gang of attackers, who remain out of shot throughout, chant anti-fascist slogans as eggshells burst against Mr Bourchas' head and body, his blazer gradually becoming more white than blue.
Direct hit: Mr Bourchas's guest flees the set as yoghurt and eggs rain down on the host
Cornered: The presenter can do nothing as the protesters, apparently unhindered, carry on their assault
At first he tries to duck out of the way, brushing the slop from his clothes.
In the end, perhaps already resigned to a hefty dry-cleaning bill, the helpless presenter is reduced to standing with his head bowed and his back to his assailants - but the yoghurt just keeps coming.
Defeated and thoroughly splattered, he unclips his earpiece, picks up his soiled laptop and trudges off the set, while the producers can only flash up a title card.
It is understood the anti-fascist demonstrators were enraged after Mr Bourchas hosted a show featuring a spokesman from the neo-Nazi political organisation Golden Dawn.
