Oh dear! JWoww plasters on the make-up with a trowel... while showing off a VERY radioactive tan

She and the rest of the Jersey Shore cast are well known for their love of over-the-top clothes and thick make-up.

But Jenni 'JWoww' Farley appears to have gone one step further than usual today by plastering on the make-up for a Los Angeles launch.

The 26-year-old reality TV star looked rather striking with an excessive amount of bronzer, bright pink lipstick and dark smoky eye-shadow at a launch event for a natural supplement.

The star sported a plunging snakeskin print top and black miniskirt with spiky black heels for her appearance at the Beverly Centre mall.

JWoww's dark brown hair was pulled up into a high ponytail as she promoted Ab Cuts Sleek and Lean, a natural supplement.

The star has been keen to share her tips on make-up with her many reality fans and has revealed via her blog that she is a big fan of permanent make-up.

'Permanent make-up let’s you feel pretty and confident - no worries the morning after,' she wrote.

'I don’t care if you are Miss America, no girl is naturally stunning at 6 am.  I can now jump in a pool or ocean and my make-up isn’t running off my face. It’s fairly painless and worth every penny!'

The star's changing appearance has previously triggered reports that she has had plastic surgery - something she's denied.

Last year, she spoke to the Wendy Williams show on the issue, saying: 'I feel like I should go on a morning show, or your show, and just have a plastic surgeon see if I got anything done, because I want to prove everyone wrong.

'They say I got my cheeks done, they say I got my nose, my chin. I just lost 15 pounds, and it was all in my face and neck.

'That's what was insulting to me, because I was like, "What did my nose look like 15 pounds ago?"'

JWoww and the rest of the Jersey Shore cast finished filming season six of the hit MTV reality show in Seaside Heights earlier this month.

Farley and her castmate Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi are set to begin filming the second season of their spin-off reality show later this summer.
