Any hopes that Bronner Handwerger harboured of being reunited with Strictly star Daisy Lowe – who for 14 years he believed was his daughter – have been dashed.

I bumped into an emotional Daisy at an event to launch the new Milk Tray advert, and she was adamant that she doesn’t want any contact with him, telling me: ‘He’s a horrible man.’

A paternity test revealed that Daisy’s father is pop star Gavin Rossdale (pictured together in June), a friend with whom Pearl enjoyed a one-night stand

Daisy’s mother Pearl broke up with Bronner when Daisy was only one, after a ‘tempestuous relationship’.

A paternity test later revealed that Daisy’s father is pop star Gavin Rossdale, a friend with whom Pearl enjoyed a one-night stand.

His marshmallow business Boomf may have lost almost £1 million in a year, but you cannot fault James Middleton as he comes up with more weird and wonderful ideas to keep the firm afloat.

His latest invention is the ‘Boomf bomb’ – a £5 greetings card, left, that explodes out of its envelope, showering the recipient in confetti and glitter.

It would be perfect for James’s newly engaged sister Pippa, but I can’t imagine it going down too well with elder sister Kate. Imagine the mess it would make on the perfect carpets of Kensington Palace, the Duchess of Cambridge’s home...
