She's basking in the glow of the release of her brand new series Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

So when it was time for Elizabeth Henstridge to enjoy a well-earned break on Sunday, she made the excellent decision to spend it indulging in baked goods and going gaga over an adorable puppy.

The 26-year-old British actress dressed comfortably and casually for her weekend outing in West Hollywood, where she was joined by a handsome fellow with whom she looked particularly comfortable as she snuggled up with him and their furry friend on the sidewalk.

Elizabeth - who plays Jemma Simmons in the ABC series - clearly felt comfortable enough in her own skin to keep things low-key in the wardrobe department.

Black track pants and a loose-fitting grey sweater were enough for the pretty star, who pounded the pavement in simple white sneakers.

Her brunette tresses were pulled back into an easy knotted bun and she had no need for makeup on her naturally gorgeous face.

The actress spent a few moments snuggling up to an adorable black fluffy pooch who was being cradled by the handsome fellow she was spending the morning with.

And she simply couldn't get enough of the cute puppy, inching her face so close she almost smooched the little one.

Later, Elizabeth ventured into a delicious looking baked goods store.

So delicious in fact that she couldn't even wait until she made it home to dig into the delectable box of goodies.

Elizabeth was seen taking a sneaky bite of what looked like a chocolate treat as she made her way back across the road away from the dangerously tasty store.

Her series Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiered in late September and has been performing quite well ever since.

It was created by Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, based on the Marvel Comics organization S.H.I.E.L.D., and also stars Phil Coulson, Clark Gregg, Iain De Caestecker and Chloe Bennett.

Before making the move to the USA, Elizabeth appeared on UK television show Hollyoaks, in which she played Emily Alexander.
