Frankie Muniz has suffered a second mini stroke, he revealed on Twitter.

On that occasion Frankie became aware of the medical emergency when he lost vision in one eye - while riding his motorbike.

WHAT IS A MINI STROKE?

A mini stroke is medically known as a transient ischemic attack (TIA).

A TIA is a sign that part of the brain isn't getting enough blood.

One in ten people who suffer a TIA go on to have a stroke within a week if they remain untreated, British charity the Stroke Association says.

'I can't get a deep breath in,' he said, adding, 'I'm still trying to make sense of it, but happy I'm alive.'

Mini strokes happen to less than 10per cent of under 45s, and Frankie has said he does not drink, do drugs and has never had a cigarette.

The former child star played the title role in Malcolm In The Middle, the story of a boy genius and his dysfunctional family.

He put his acting career on hold to pursue dreams of becoming a race car driver in 2008 and currently plays the drums for his band, You Hang Up.

He has been engaged to his longtime girlfriend, publicist Elycia Marie Turnbow since October 2011.
