They’re on the verge of celebrating their second Christmas as a married couple, and Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively appeared to be in the mood to splash out on some festive goodies during a rare day out in Los Angeles.

The couple were spotted as they stepped out for on Thursday for a shopping spree – and their first port of call was a local Nespresso store in Beverly Hills.

Ryan and Blake appeared to be in high spirits as they splashed out on a bag full of items, but not before settling down for a cup of the brand’s famous coffee.

Blake opted for a smart casual look by matching a fitted black jacket with loose patterned mini-skirts and tights for her day out with Ryan, who she met while filming The Green Lantern in 2011.

The actress matched her stylish ensemble with a pair of knee length black boots, while her hair was kept natural in two loose curtains as she settled down next to her man at the Nespresso coffee bar.

Blake carried a large green bag over her right shoulder, and two rolls of wrapping paper could be seen peeping from the top for much of their extended shopping trip.

We're used to seeing her in full-on glamour mode on the red carpet, but Blake Lively wore a far less high octane ensemble as she did a spot of Christmas shopping with husband Ryan Reynolds in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

The Gossip Girl star looked cute and stylish in a monochrome fit and flare mini skirt with brown tights, a black jacket and black biker boots, topped off with a rather chic black floppy hat.

With the winter weather here to stay we're on the hunt for a great pair of boots to see us through the chill, and Blake's black leather biker boots fit the bill pretty perfectly.

While Blake carried the bags, Ryan appeared to be carrying the wallet as they splashed out before venturing onto the street.

The couple’s wedding was a low-key affair carried out on a South Carolina plantation in 2012, and Ryan recently admitted that Blake will decide when they eventually have children.

‘I would like to have children, but actually it's not really up to me,’ he told The Mirror.

The actor also admits he’s thankful for the opportunities he’s had as an actor, adding: ‘I've been very fortunate in my life. There are people who work hard and they cannot (gain) success and that's why I value it a lot.

‘I've always tried to keep my style so that in 15 years I can look back and say that I loved it.’
