Michelle Obama lets it slip that she's getting Barack gym clothes for Christmas

Michelle Obama has let Santa's list slip as she revealed what she will be getting the President for Christmas.

The First Lady said that she will be getting Barack some gym clothes as his big present this year.

'He said that’s what he wanted,' she said at a reading of Twas The Night Before Christmas at a children's hospital in D.C. on Monday.

She was the first to catch on to how her revelation may be connected to her ongoing fitness campaign to fight obesity and increase exercise.

'I’m not forcing my husband to work out,' she said.

'There’s going to be some Let’s Move joke about how I’m strapping him to the treadmill. No, he likes to work out!'

ABC News reports that the First Lady kept her shopping list notably closer to the vest when it came to talking about her daughters' wish lists.

'They didn't ask for much this year,' Mrs Obama said of Malia and Sasha's requests.

'They’re going to get stuff.  They don’t know what they’re going to get.

'They’re going to get small things. We don’t do a lot of big gift-giving. They get to ask for three things.'

Malia seems to have gamed the system, however, as she apparently got a new phone ahead of time because Mr Obama was quick to respond to her pleas for an upgrade.

'I was like "You messed it up!” That should have been a Christmas gift,' Mrs Obama said.

The First Lady also remained mum on what she herself wants, so that will be up to the President to sort out on his own.
