Speaking to The Daily Star, Kelle said: 'I normally wear a surgical mask and gloves because I'm highly susceptible to infection. My lupus means if I pick up an infection I could die because there is nothing to fight it.

'People know me for being glamorous and going to red carpet events but this isn't anything like that. It's real pain.

'I can't touch my own children because it could actually kill me.'

Kelle, who is now showbiz agent to actors including former Eastender Ricky Norwood, suffered a terrifying ordeal in the summer, after her daughter contracted a meningococcal infection at school.

Within 48 hours the singer was in intensive care.

Worryingly the Kellie's organs and kidneys shut down, with doctors administrating adrenaline to kick-start her body.

The lupus went to her brain, causing her to suffer a seizure and harrowingly lose three days of her life.

Kelle was left unable to walk or talk which she had to learn again.

The brave talent agent has also lost her hair following chemotherapy, and suffers from memory loss.

Kelle, who is an avid lupus awareness campaigner and a patron of the St Thomas Lupus Trust, was diagnosed with the condition in 2000 after performing at Party In The Park with Eternal.

Selena Gomez, Seal and Toni Braxton are also sufferers of the virus.

But she has a huge supporter in husband Jay Gudgeon, who she married in September 2010 and the happy couple share son Reegan and daughter Kayori.

And celebrity client Ricky Norwood has also remained loyal to his pal and manager.

While he was in the Celebrity Big Brother house this year, his best friend Darren spoke out about Ricky's desire to raise awareness for the condition.

Darren revealed: ‘It had a massive personal effect on Ricky. Lupus comes out of nowhere and when it affected his agent Kelle, it also had a big effect on him. It’s an illness that people don’t fully understand and it’s very serious.

‘If he could help people understand it more and more awareness and research can be done, it can only help.’
