'I'll let this trophy go to these boys because I have loads at home': Kate Ritchie pokes fun at Nova co-hosts Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold as they win Best On-Air Team at the ACRAs

She was an actress on Home And Away for 21 years before moving into the radio industry.

And as a child star, Kate Ritchie scored five Logie Awards and she jokingly bragged about her achievements while winning yet another award on Saturday.

While attending the Australian Commercial Radio Awards in Melbourne, the 38-year-old star poked fun at her Nova drive show co-hosts, Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold, as they won Best On-Air Team.

'The other thing I should be doing, is letting this trophy go home with one of these two boys because I have loads of awards at home anyway,' she said in jest during her acceptance speech.

The comment was in reference to Kate's two Gold Logie Awards and three Silver Logie Awards, that she received during her time on Home And Away.

Earlier in the night, she told Daily Mail Australia it was 'nice' for the Nova drive show team to be recognised at the annual event.

'The team have done really well and it's always nice to have some kind of recognition, but it's not why we do it every day,' she began to explain.

'Regardless of whether we win or not, we're still going to go in on Monday and do the same show.'

Tim added: 'It is voted by the industry so it is one of those awards you feel good about because maybe even your opposition may have given you a little vote.'

Before being awarded with the most highly prestigious globe on the night, Kate opened up about working alongside the two larrikins.

She told Daily Mail Australia: 'I'm the eldest of four children so I feel like what I do every day is just an extension of my upbringing, ribbing each other and having a good time.'

On Saturday night, the Kate, Tim And Marty show claimed the top spot for the Best On-Air Team, against radio rival shows, Kyle & Jackie O, Hamish & Andy, Jonesy & Amanda, Fifi & Dave and Chrissie, Sam & Browny.
