Chris Gayle’s world was turned upside down following his ‘don’t blush baby’ controversy with a TV reporter but now the West Indies talisman has been hanging around in the gym.

The destructive all rounder has given his fans on social media an insight into his gruelling workout regimes.

The 37-year-old won’t feature in the World Champions’ three-match series against Pakistan starting in the UAE on Saturday and will instead prepare for his individual schedule on the T20 circuit.

‘I was gonna take over the world this morning but I overslept,’ quipped the left handed batsman in his Instagram post from the gym as he hung from a pull-up rigging.

Gayle is clearly putting in the work to be in peak condition having announced he’s playing five matches in the Bangladesh Premier League for Chittagong Vikings and will be available for the latter part of the tournament which begins on November 4 in Dhaka.

It’s been a fine year for Gayle, having inspired the West Indies to the T20 World Cup he has also captained the Jamaica Tallawahs to a second Carribean Premier League crown in August.

After his stint in the BPL Gayle is expected to return to the Big Bash league down under with the Melbourne Renegades this winter but his involvement with the West Indies going forward remains unclear.
