TONY HETHERINGTON: My premium bond wins are missing, can you help?
Mrs M.M. writes: Last March, I was persuaded to have any winnings from my premium bonds paid straight into my bank account. This worked for the month of April, but winnings since then have not arrived. This has made me wonder how many other people have not received their prizes. They would only know if they regularly check their bank statements and the record of winning numbers.
Missing prizes: Some prizes failed to reach our reader's bank account
Premium bond staff have a good reputation for running the system efficiently, so I asked officials at National Savings & Investments headquarters to find out what had happened to the prizes that failed to reach your bank account.
They told me: ‘We had made arrangements in March for premium bond prizes to be paid directly into Mrs M’s bank account.
‘But the first two payments in April 2016 were returned by Mrs M’s bank, with no reason cited as to why this was the case.’
The organisation has contacted you to confirm your banking details and the missing prizes have been sent again.
In fact, there are now seven of them, all for £25 each. You won twice in April, once in June, once in July and three times in August. All these payments have now been accepted by your bank.
