Taking the plunge! Idina Menzel wows in multi-coloured gown featuring VERY low-cut neckline at Carousel of Hope Ball

She just walked the red carpet at the Latin American Music Awards on Friday.

And on Saturday Idina Menzel walked another red carpet, this time for the Carousel of Hope Ball in Los Angeles.

The 45-year-old Frozen singer brought another gown too, this one sporting a massively plunging neckline.

The striking garment, which was composed of large vertical stripes of lilac, crimson, burgundy and black, was a sleeveless number that dropped all the way to the floor.

However, the focus was clearly on the star's generous bosom, thanks to the deep v-cut neck that extended almost to her waist.

Accessories were limited to a bracelet on her right wrist, her sizable engagement ring and some delicate three-jewel earrings.

Look red carpet ready in an A-line gown like Idina

Idina Menzel joined Kristin Cavallari, Melanie Griffith and Jane Fonda at the Carousel of Hope Ball in LA. With such star power at the event, it's easy to get overlooked, but the Broadway star made sure she stood out in a Mathieu Mirano gown.

The silk stunner had a figure flattering A-line silhouette and was covered in a color block pattern. An illusion neckline showed tons of cleavage, but Idina balanced it with the full, floor length skirt.

Mathieu Mirano is a talented young New York based designer who is fast becoming a rising star in the fashion world. His pieces have been worn by the likes of Elizabeth Banks, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Kendall Jenner so Idina is in very good company.

She piled her raven tresses on top of her head, though a few strands found their way down the sides of her statuesque face.

A slick of lavender lipstick along with some natural-looking blush and eye make-up ensured the star sparkled for her photo op.

Surely her night would be less nerve-wracking than the previous night at the Latin American Music Awards, where she performed live.

After the Small World songstress performed at the fan-voted awards show, her hands were shaking.

'I just got off stage. My hands are shaking. That was great! That was so amazing!' Menzel - born Mentzel - gushed backstage.

Two weeks ago, the If/Then thespian got engaged to her Rent co-star Aaron Lohr after divorcing her other Rent co-star Taye Diggs last year.
