Kim Kardashian has called in former special service agents as part of a plan to ramp up her security to 'presidential levels' following her terrifying armed robbery ordeal.

The reality TV star will be accompanied everywhere by at least two guards and she will be driven around in an armored car so she can feel safe again.

Kim and her husband Kanye West reportedly met with ex-special force members from the Israeli army and ex-CIA agents after she was held up at gunpoint in Paris.

They have decided to employ ex-special service agents who will be heavily armed, according to TMZ.

The change in her security comes one week after £8.5million worth of jewels and other belongings were stolen from her when she was left unprotected in a hotel.

Her security team came under intense scrutiny after it was revealed she had been left without any armed guard - despite flaunting her jewelry on social media.

Kim's bodyguard Pascal Duvier was also criticized when it emerged he had been escorting the star's sisters Kourtney and Kendall at a nightclub during the break-in.

But the 43-year-old still appears to have a job as he was pictured manning the stage when Kanye performed the Chicago stop of his Saint Pablo tour on Saturday.

Kim has spoken about how she thought she was going to be 'killed or raped' during the robbery in the early hours of last Monday.

A gang of five men wearing fake police armbands forced their way up to Kim's apartment at the Hotel Particulier Pourtales.

They held a gun to the head of the concierge who opened the door of the £25,000-a-month suite of rooms with a master key.

The thieves were then able to confront the frightened reality TV star in her luxury bedroom.

With a gun to her head, Kim directed the robbers to her jewelry – including her £3.5million engagement ring.  

She was then bound and gagged and locked in her bathroom. 

Kanye is now said to be desperate to find out who was responsible for the robbery and has decided to take things into his own hands.

He is also is said to be hiring look-a-likes in a bid to to act as decoys and keep his family's location private.  

A source said: 'They've [Kim and Kanye] decided to use their own experts as part of their ­security overhaul. Some of them have worked for the world's top ­intelligence agencies. If ­anyone can get to the bottom of what went on, these guys will.'
