Lily-Rose Depp was spotted on Friday embarking on a shopping trip in Los Angeles' Fairfax neighbourhood with Ash Stymest.

Rumours have swirled for months that the 17-year-old is dating her fellow model, 25-year-old Ash Stymest. The pair have been seen enjoying each other's company several times this summer.

On Friday's spree, the scion of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis kept her outfit simple with a white tank top tucked into dark grey jeans.

Re-shod: On Friday, Lily-Rose Depp was spotted walking the pavement on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles

A red diamond-stitched backpack was slung over her shoulders as she trod the pavement on Melrose Avenue, carrying a bag from the shoe shop Sportie LA.

Her hair in a low bun, the Paris native added a splash of glitz to her outfit with a ring, two gleaming necklaces and a pair of hoop earrings.

Meanwhile, her English companion wore an eye-popping ensemble: his hoodie, trainers, T-shirt and sweats were all the same shade of bright red.

Buddy or beau? The teenaged stunner was joined by her rumoured boyfriend, English model Ash Stymest

The exceptions were a strip of white near the soles of his shoes and a black and white baseball cap advertising the Oakland Raiders. Two large Sportie LA bags swung from his right hand, and in his left he held a cup from Chick-fil-A.

Depp's next film, a Franco-Belgian feature called Planetarium, stars her and Natalie Portman as two 1930s American sisters who tour in Paris as occultists and draw the attention of a French producer.

The film celebrated its world premiere 8 September at the Venice Film Festival, screening again two days later at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Whilst in the Ontarian capital, Depp and the Black Swan star told The Wrap that their director, Rebecca Zlotowski, had devised a rather idiosyncratic way to introduce them to one another.

The 35-year-old dished that 'Rebecca sent us to the spa together, like the f- before we knew each other.' A laughing Depp added that 'we were, like, getting massaged, like, next to each other.'

Portman concurred. 'Like, next to each other, like, looking at each other, going like: "Nice to meet you,"' she giggled, reenacting her forced smile from the day of their joint spa trip.

'But it was great,' she continued. 'We became very comfortable very quickly.' Both actresses began to laugh again.

Planetarium will open in France on 16 November.
