Hurricane Matthew has illustrated nature at its most destructive but that does not deter the 'Great White Shark'.

Golf great Greg Norman has already begun the clear up at his Jupiter Island estate, Florida, after the State was hit with a deluge of rain and 120mph winds on Friday.

The 61-year-old nearly lost his left arm in a horrific chainsaw accident back in 2014 but has dusted down the powerful machinery to clear fallen trees in his garden.

Nicknamed the ‘Great White Shark’, Norman has been keeping his followers on social media up to date with his preparation and handling of the hurricane.

Orlando’s world famous theme parks have shut and President Barack Obama declared a federal state of emergency in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina, but that has not stopped Norman from heading out to sort out the damage.

The two-time Major winner was certainly prepared for the brutal storms, displaying his checklist to fans along with the caption, ‘#hurricanematthew almost 100% ready for you here on #jupiterisland, but we all would appreciate if you just p**s off and head offshore fast.’

Norman was clearly at ease with such a force upon his doorstep. The extensive list included charging the golf carts, moving his chainsaw and fuel to the garage, whilst also chilling a few beers.

Having woken up to the destruction in hurricane Matthew’s path, the Australian told his followers on Instagram, ‘Good morning post #hurricanematthew close call with Jupiter Island. We got lucky. I hope everyone faired as well. But, the inevitable down trees and mess. Time to open my driveway.’

It was only two years ago that the former Open champion underwent surgery to repair minor nerve damage in his left arm after his chainsaw ripped through his hand.

Miraculously Norman sustained no permanent ill-effects, so hence he was able to get the chainsaw back out on Friday to head into the garden.

He posted a selfie next to some fallen trees stating, ‘One tree done. Onto the next. Thx #hurricanematthew for the early morning workout.’
