'My body was reacting to the leakage': Hollyoaks comeback queen Davinia Taylor reveals breast implant horror... and relief at having EE cups removed

Davinia Taylor has revealed her horrifying experience with breast implants.

The 38-year-old Hollyoaks star, who returned to the show on Thursday after 18 years, revealed she discovered her breast implants had leaked after choosing to get them removed.

Davinia said her body was effectively swelling up as it retained water in a nasty reaction to the leaking implants, which she had inserted as a teenager to bring her cup size from B to EE.

She told The Sun: 'I decided to have them removed because I was feeling much too top-heavy.

'But when the surgeon took them out, he told me they had leaked badly and that a thick layer of skin had formed around it to protect me.

'I was holding loads of water weight because my body was reacting to the leakage.'

Davinia added that as soon as her implants were out of her body, she lost weight almost immediately and found a new lease of life.

The small-screen actress, who played Cindy's big sister from 1996 to 1998, has made her triumphant return to Hollyoaks.

Her character was last seen leaving the country in 1998 using her sister's passport after planning a fake wedding.

But her new storyline is thought to be yet more exciting this time around, with a spokesperson explaining: 'The residents of Hollyoaks are in for a shock when a familiar face returns in style to bring a touch of class to the village.

'She's the girl with a heart of gold whose luxurious lifestyle dazzled Cindy, who's always put her big sister on a pedestal.

'To Cindy's delight, Jude is more than a match for her arch-nemesis Marnie but just like Cindy, Jude always had a knack for causing chaos wherever she goes. Is her return really all it seems?'

Her fictional sister Cindy is still played by Stephanie, while Jimmy McKenna's Jack Osborne and Nick Pickard's Tony Hutchinson also still serve as originals cast members in the Channel 4 soap.

Digital Spy claimed that party girl Davinia was originally sacked from the soap in 1997 for 'persistent bad timekeeping'.

Davinia's father made a £200 million fortune from toilet paper and she married David Beckham's best pal, football agent Dave Gardner in 2003.

Her home became the centre for the wild Primrose Hill parties, involving Kate Moss, Jude Law and Sadie Frost.

But since her hedonistic days of partying, Davinia is said to have left the Primrose Hill set behind and 'dried up' because she is now sober.

The Sunday Mirror previously reported that Davinia was returning to the soap in 2006 and making a 'fresh start' but she later allegedly withdrew from the opportunity due to 'personal problems.'

The star publicly battled alcohol addiction and depression before being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and Gardner won custody of their son, Grey, in their highly-publicised divorce in 2010.

However, her recovery from addiction has brought its own problems: she's no longer able to socialise with friends such as Moss, who are not sober.

In 2011, she had another son, Jackson, by an unnamed friend and she now lives in London with her new fiancée and four children.
