My little man! Soul Food actress Nia Long beams as she shows off newborn son Kez Sunday for the first time

She couldn't have looked more proud as she stepped out with her newborn son yesterday.

Soul Food actress Nia Long looked radiant and beamed with delight as she helped her baby boy Kez Sunday Udoka make his public debut in Los Angeles.

Kez, who was born in November, looked very trendy in his striped trousers and logo socks as he was held close by his mother while she chatted to friends.

The little boy is the first child for Nia, 41, and basketball player husband Ime Udoka. Nia also has a 10-year-old son, Massai, with former boyfriend Massai Z. Dorsey.

And it seems Nia has snapped straight back into shape after the birth, as the actress looked slender in a grey T-shirt, jeans and a houndstooth flat cap as she stepped out.

But while Nia looked overwhelmed with happiness as she stepped out with Kez, she admitted in an interview last year that the pregnancy was entirely unplanned.

She said: 'I was supposed to go to Ghana to do a film and that's when I found out I was pregnant.

'I had a doctor's appointment to get the yellow fever shot and they were like, 'Miss Long, we can't give you a shot.'

And when she was told she was expecting, Nia said: 'I almost fainted. It was the best moment and the sweetest surprise ever.'

But after announcing the pregnancy, Nia and her husband said: 'This is the most exciting time in our lives.

'Words can't explain how thrilled we are by the new addition to our family. We feel truly blessed and appreciate all the well wishes and prayers.'

Nia has also been keeping fans updated with Kez's progress since his birth back in November.

She wrote earlier this month: 'My sweet baby just discovered his tongue. Pure comedy right now. :)'
