Now that's dedication! Fitspo couple lose a combined 30 kilos in just EIGHT weeks after 'getting fat' to prove that their fitness programs really do work

  • Fitspo couple Sharny and Julius Kieser gained weight in one month
  • They wanted to be able to do their fitness program with followers
  • Eight weeks on, they have lost an impressive 29.3 kilos between them
  • Sharny, a mother of six, is now 56.7 kilos after starting at 69 kilos

'People who start the program are always saying "what happens if I gain all the weight back after eight weeks" and what we say to everybody is just to be present,' Sharny said.

'It's about creating new habits and then keeping with them for life.'

'It's easy to get fat. So I want to go and get as lean as I can to see what my abs look like and what I can achieve and so does Julius because if I want to gain a kilo all I've got to do is have a piece of cake.'

At the beginning of the program, the pair explained that their reason for gaining the weight was to be as transparent and honest with their followers as possible.

'A long time ago when we came out of our other industries and started in the fitness industry we both said that we would never talk s**t to anyone and always provide transparency,' Julius said in a live video on Facebook.

Transparent: 'We have seen fake people teaching people how to look a certain way even though they aren't doing it that way,' Julius said in August

The couple revealed that they had relaxed their strict diet and exercise plan and eaten whatever they wanted so they could do their programs all over again.

'We want to actually do it again and to do that we have to get fat. We now know that we have gotten into that dangerous place of eating because we're not just eating to get fat we've actually really enjoyed it,' Julius said.

'We are eating so much that it has become addictive. Today has been our last bender and it's been fun but it's got to stop because we are not here forever.'

'We have noticed a difference in our kids while we have been junky junkies and we have become lazy and sort of brain dead.'

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia in August about gaining weight, Sharny said she and her husband had been eating as much as they could.

'When it comes to food, we're not connoisseurs, we're gluttons. We had no plan to get fat, all it took was just to let the food take us where it wanted and eat whatever we felt like,' she said.

'Initially it was sickly, but it very quickly became fun, then addiction. We really wanted to go back into the FitMum and FitDad programs as realistically as possible for people.

'We're both now heavily addicted to sugar and junk food. Today is our first day on the program again, and we've both been thinking about junk food all day.'

The program is eight weeks and is designed for parents with little time to exercise - each workout lasting just 15 minutes or less and able to be done with no equipment.

'They are meant to be done with kids around so they get to witness mum and dad having fun while getting fit,' she said.

‘After the previous four pregnancies I was overweight and I had this "enough is enough" moment,' Ms Kieser told Daily Mail Australia in July, 2015.

'I looked at myself in the mirror and was like "oh my God who has eaten Sharny" - I felt like this fat old woman and that’s how I saw myself… it was all in my head but I just felt miserable.'

Ms Kieser has been pregnant and breastfeeding for over eight years of her life, and although open to having more kids, is ready to stop.

‘I think I am ready to move on to the next stage of my life which is getting my body back, getting super fit and just having fun with all these kids,’ she said.
