Jennifer Garner to deliver a speech backing Hillary Clinton in a bid to encourage people to register as voters if they have not yet done so

Jennifer Garner is set to campaign for Hillary Clinton on Monday.

The actress will attempt to whip up support for the Democratic nominee in Reno, Nevada, according to KTVN.com. 

The mother-of-three will make a speech at the city's University of Nevada campus, urging more people to register to vote, and for those who have already signed up to check their status.

Early voting, a key part of Clinton's victory strategy, begins in Nevada on October 22.

Garner will be hoping to drum up more support for the former First Lady, and get people to head to the ballot box before Election Day.

Clinton's campaign manager Robby Mook has already singled out Nevada as one of the states where they want to build an 'insurmountable lead' before ahead of November 8. 

Garner will speak at the Joe Crowley Student Union in support of Clinton and then visit the Washoe County Democratic Party Office later in the afternoon to meet with the public.

This is not the first time Garner has campaigned in an election, in 2006 she spoke at a rally for Democratic Congressional candidate Jerry McNerney in Pleasanton, California. And in 2014 she reportedly donated $25,000 to the campaign of Democratic politician Wendy Davis.

Garner also previously said she wouldn't be surprised if her estranged husband Ben Affleck went into politics.

The 44-year-old is no stranger to getting involved with political campaigns. She has campaigned for Democratic candidates in the past and has given political donations 

Clinton will appreciate the support from another high-profile name as the race to the White House draws to a close. She is pictured during the second presidential debate on Sundau  

In 2012 she told Allure magazine: 'Right now [Ben] feels like he can do more good for people politically from outside the system.

'Would I be surprised if one day he did go into politics? No. But not now.'

On Sunday the 44-year-old was spotted heading to her regular church in Los Angeles.

Wearing a classic 1940s-style button-up dress, she brought along her daughters Violet, 10, and Seraphina, 7, and her son Samuel, 4.

The star, who was raised a churchgoer, has said that she started attending services again after filming this year's Christian-themed film Miracles From Heaven.

Whilst promoting the film on Today, Garner shared a bit of her own religious background with Savannah Guthrie.

'It's not something that I have ever spoken about this film, so I still feel a little 'oof,'' she confessed, 'but I grew up going to church every Sunday, and I took - you know, Ben and I took our kids home to West Virginia to be baptised in my family's church.'

The film 'encouraged me to re-engage in just participating, and not just believing, but actually participating and raising my children so that they have the same background that my parents gave my sisters and me.'

She became more specific when she spoke onstage at a Dallas church in February, appearing alongside the woman she plays in Miracles From Heaven.

The Christian Post have reported, she confided that 'while I've always gone to church in West Virginia, that when I got back to Los Angeles, I was talking to my kids about the movie and they said: 'Mom you don't take us to church,' and we went that Sunday, and they went today without me.

'That decision,' she said, 'was a direct gift from this movie and for that I'm very grateful.'

Though the Argo director doesn't always accompany his family to church, he was spotted last month taking the children there, filling in for Garner whilst she was in Colorado premiering her film Wakefield at the Telluride Film Festival.

Early voting is on the rise in America. More than 45 million people are expected to vote before Election Day, November 8, either by mail-in ballots or going to early-voting stations. 

Advance voting is underway in nearly half the 50 states, with more to follow. At least 403,000 people have voted already, according to data compiled by The Associated Press. 

The Trump campaign isn't copying the Democrats' expensive, labor-intensive efforts to promote early voting. Instead, it's leaning heavily on the Republican National Committee for its get-out-the-vote-effort and counting on mass rallies and big television audiences to spur early voting.
