And Catherine Tyldesley certainly pulled out all the stops in the fashion stakes when she attended the Star Ball charity dinner in Manchester on Saturday night.
The blonde beauty was every inch the scarlet siren in a bold gown as she rocked up at the Hilton Hotel.

Catherine ensured her toned figure was on full display in the close-fitting number, which fell to the floor in a fishtail cut.
The dress' halterneck cut highlighted her gym-honed arms and a was set off with a pair of delicate silver earrings.
The bronzed beauty coiffed her hair in a glamorous updo and went all out with her make-up, framing her eyes with heavy kohl and complementing her dress with a coral lip.

Also in attendance at the event was her Corrie co-star Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz Stape on the ITV soap.
The redhead was sporting a classy black dress with a deep V neckline, accessorised with a silver necklace.
Jennie added a pair of beige heels and a cream coloured clutch bag to pull her look together.

Catherine has recently been exploring her passion for singing as well as her acting career.
During an appearance on This Morning, she confessed it was harder to branch out into music in the UK compared to in America.
She told told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: 'I think if you’re an actress and you say "I’m going to do a bit of singing" like Jennifer Lopez for example, then it’s embraced and people are like "Yeah go for it".'
In America everything is embraced. Over here it's like you're an actor or a singer.'
