ATMs too tall to reach, staircases to nowhere and a VERY inappropriate swimming pool: The world's worst building fails revealed

  • Several examples of architecture failures have started to emerge online
  • A penis shaped pool and poorly positioned ATM are among those example
  • Others include a warped hotel window and a non-functional driveway

Phallic shaped swimming pool, a staircase to nowhere and a bridge that doesn’t meet in the middle.

Architectural mishaps often occur when design flaws are not picked up in the initial planning phases.

But with some faults so glaringly obvious, it becomes a wonder how they got past even the laziest designer.

Whether it be a driveway with no direct path to the road or a slide with a maliciously placed ditch at the end – the catastrophic final results can be quite humorous.

Commuters expecting to take a short cross over the water will be disappointed once arriving at the middle of a bridge to find the two lanes to not cross paths.

An existing tree has been catered for by two different architectures, who allow the trunk to strategically pass through the roof tiles or weatherboards of the home unobstructed.

A window in the Best Western Hotel appears to have been angled to the right, instead up running straight up and down like every other equally spaced, glass panel on the building.

A home owner appears to have built a garage with a white concrete driveway but a tree obstructs the car’s path toward the road and has meant the driveway does not meet the gutter.

An architect failed miserably when ordering a large pillar in a shopping centre food court after the measurements stopped a couple of inches short, leaving an unusual gap between it and the roof.

A disabled parking space that would block two parked cars from moving out has been painted in a car park, while others are warned of a door that leads to a sheer two story drop.

A college specialising in planning have not put its best foot forward by having letters for its signboard posted around the corner after not enough space was left for the ‘c’.

Two ATMs – one too low and the other too high to reach – are another a prime example of a lack of forethought.
