Meanwhile, on the Kingsbarns Links Course, 10 kilometres sotuh of St Andrew's, cricket greats Shane Warne, 47, and Kevin Pietersen, 36, teed off.

Speaking on ITV's The Jonathan Ross Show, the actor also admitted he was baffled by his hunk status.

When asked what his wife Amelia thinks of his racy role in Fifty Shades, the dashing actor explained: 'My wife is one of the most brilliant human beings in the world. She hasn't watched it. Why would she watch it? She wouldn't put herself through that.'

Asked if he appears completely naked in the next film Fifty Shades Darker, Jamie said: 'I haven't seen it so I don't know… I don't even know.

'I don't know where the cameras were, I don't bother myself with that, I just get on with it.'
