Lauren Bush Lauren has revealed she is backing Hillary Clinton for president - just like her grandfather, former president George H. W. Bush and her cousin Barbara.

Lauren showed her support for Clinton in an Instagram post shared shortly after the second presidential debate ended on Sunday night.

She captioned a black and white image of the Democratic nominee with the hasthtag #ImWithHer.

It comes after it emerged that her grandfather, the 41st President of the United States, has also shunned his party's nominee - Donald Trump - and hinted he would vote for Hillary instead.

The 92-year-old had remained silent on the Republican nominee - but his intention to vote for Clinton in November was revealed by Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend, the daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy.

She posted a picture alongside the former president on Facebook last month, writing: 'The President told me he's voting for Hillary!!'

'That's what he said,' she later told Politico, adding she had met with Bush in Maine.

Barbara Bush, daughter of former President George W. Bush, also supports Clinton.

She was photographed with Clinton's top aide Huma Abedin at a Clinton fundraiser in Paris earlier this month.

In February, former first lady Barbara Bush said she didn't understand how women could vote for the 70-year-old real estate mogul.

Meanwhile, another Bush ended up inadvertently causing the biggest damage to Trump's campaign.

NBC suspended television personality Billy Bush - cousin to former president George W. Bush - from the 'Today' show amid the fallout over the host's 2005 taped lewd conversation with Trump.

The suspension comes as a flood of Republicans have withdrawn their support for Trump over the video that emerged on Friday showing the businessman, then a reality TV star, talking with Bush on an open microphone about groping women and trying to seduce a married woman.

In the recorded conversation, Trump was chatting on a bus with Bush, then host of NBC's Access Hollywood, ahead of a segment they were about to tape.

In a statement to Variety on Friday, Bush was 'embarrassed and ashamed' of his comments.

NBC said Bush had been suspended indefinitely from the 'Today' show, where he hosts the third hour of programming.
