'She's over the moon for me': Pregnant Kimberley Walsh reveals her best friend Cheryl's excitement as she counts down the weeks until the birth of her second child

Cheryl is rumoured to be pregnant with her first child.

And while she and boyfriend Liam Payne are keeping mum for now, the star's pregnant best friend and Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh has revealed just how excited her pal is for her second child to arrive.

Speaking to this week's OK! Magazine, Kimberley gushes that she can't wait to meet her new addition, a little brother or sister for her two-year-old son Bobby.

Kimberley explains that she and her husband Justin Scott, who married earlier this year, won't be finding out the gender of their new baby:

‘We want the surprise. I don’t have a preference – I think it would be lovely for Bobby to have a little brother so close in age but I’d also love to have a daughter, so I can’t really lose!’ the singer gushes. 

She also opens up about Cheryl’s excitement about her adding to her brood. She says: ‘Cheryl knew I wanted to have my children close together so she’s happy that I’ve got another on the way.'

'I’m sure she expected it in a way but she’s still over the moon for me.’

With the new addition due around Christmas, the former Girls Aloud star adds: ‘Christmas is going to be very full-on in our household!’ 

‘With my first pregnancy I was just willing every day to pass by, because I wanted him to arrive, but the second one is just flying by.’

Rumours have been swirling for weeks that Cheryl and boyfriend Liam are expecting their first child.

Kimberley Walsh has previously revealed in an interview with the Sunday People earlier this year that Cheryl would be 'a brilliant mum'. 

Pop star Kimberley claimed her best friend is happier than ever - having embarked on a new relationship with One Direction heartthrob Liam earlier this year, after a painful split to second husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

'She's really happy right now. And she'll be a brilliant mum. She has loads of nieces and nephews, so she's used to the madness of children,' she said.
